Directions: Coming from the East: As you are heading westbound on U.S. Hwy 98 (AKA Harbor Blvd), keep an eye out for AJ's Seafood Restaurant - it will be on your left. About 100 feet after AJ's, you will see the sign for Olin Marler Charters and a small brick building named Fat Boys. Make a left turn after the Fat Boys and continue over the hill that takes you to the Harbor.
Coming from the West: As you are heading eastbound on U.S. Hwy 98 (AKA Harbor Blvd), cross over the Destin Bridge and stay in the right lane. You will make a right turn about 100 yards after you cross the bridge. It is sometimes easy to miss because there are trees that block the sign. If you pass AJ's Seafood Restaurant, you have gone too far.
Parking: Paid parking is available on-site at 102 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541. Do not park in AJ's parking lot. Prices may vary based on the season and event type. 
Departure Details: The Olin Marler ticketing booth is located directly on the harbor at 102 Harbor Blvd, Destin, FL 32541. It's a yellow building located 75 feet to the West of AJ's Restaurant. Please check in at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Charter departs on time. For any issues, please contact your provider, Olin Marler's Dolphin Cruises &amp; Fishing Charters, at 850-837-7095.
Gratuities: Although not required, it is customary to tip your crew 20%.

We had an absolute blast fishing on our Tropical Winds 6 hour fishing charter with Olin Marler Charter Fishing and Dolphin Cruises. Even though we did run into a pop up storm leaving the harbor and a lot of our party of 11 started getting sea sick we made the best of the day and caught fish 

Captian Randy put us on the fish and Kolton the first mate was on it helping take fish off and help when needed.

Fishing trip experience

Started off bad when the original smaller boat we booked cancelled the day before.  It happens. We decided to go out on their larger boat..35 people vs 15. We departed the dock 10 minutes late to start off. The boat has to be one of the slowest moving ones we have been out on. Wasn't due to conditions on the water. The Capt didnt utter a word to any of the guests before, during or after. 
Now with the positive, we stayed on the fish most of the day..the 3 mates were attentive and always making sure everyone had what they needed. 
Not sure we would book with this larger boat with this captain, but would def go out with the rest of the crew on the smaller boat sometime.

Frequent flyer

I’ll start by saying that I really enjoy fishing, and I was excited about this 10-hour trip targeting various snapper species. Given the length of the trip, I expected to catch some good-sized fish and hopefully fill up a cooler (which, by the way, was really small).

The ride out took about two hours. Once we arrived, the crew laid out a bunch of rules some of which honestly felt unnecessary or just plain silly. After that, we started fishing, but there were two guys constantly hovering over us, telling us what to donhow to fish, where to cast, even how to breathe, it felt like.

We barely stayed in one spot for more than 5–10 minutes before moving again. This happened the entire trip spot after spot with very little to show for it. The fish we did catch were small and definitely not what was advertised.

The only people who seemed to be having fun were a group that spent most of the trip drinking. They got pretty drunk and eventually started acting weird, which made the rest of the experience even more uncomfortable.

We had a great time on the fishing tour. The guys in the boat were so helpful. I love that they filet the fish for you when you get back. Makes it so convenient!

Captain needs more experience.  We wasted part of the time running out to 300" water when not one person on the boat had the right tackle and equipment for fishing in that depth of water.

The captains and deckhands are absolutely amazing. This is a party boat with that being said all the mates were working diligently around the boat to keep everyone baited and fishing.

Great trip for a great price

We had a great time. The crew was nice and very helpful. We had to move 3 times to get on good fishing, but the 3rd time was the charm. Lots of people got lots of fish, but while we caught 20ish fish only 2 were keepers. Not the crews  fault just how it goes. We plan on going again new year.

Captain and Crew did a great job. We fished several spots and everyone came off the boat with a stringer full. Ours were prepped and cooked at nearby restaurant within minutes. Can’t beat it.

Excellent Experience

The trip was great. I failed to select the correct date and realized it soon after I booked. I called Tripshock and they said they could not help me and said I needed to call the actual company that the trip was with. I called, spoke with Sunny and she was very nice and helpful. She got us booked on the proper day and even switched it from an afternoon trip to a morning trip which we preferred. We had a great time, caught some fish and enjoyed them for dinner that night. Overall great trip.

I want say I enjoyed this because I would be lying, my daughter and I got sea sick. However, the boat, captain and crew were top notch. If you’ve never done this before take something for motion sickness before your trip and choose Sweet Jody!
