This does vary, however, depending on multiple conditions including the tour company you select, weather conditions, currents, waves, etc. If the Gulf of Mexico is too rough or unsafe, banana boat rides will take place in the calmer waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay!
Customers must be 18 to book this activity, and this activity is for ages 5 and up only.
Depending on the tour company, there will either be a minimum of 2 or 4 guests to depart, with a maximum of 6 passengers. The minimum weight required for a banana boat rider is 50 pounds.
Unfortunately, banana boat rides are not handicap accessible. Anyone with back, knee, or neck problems should not do this activity. Expectant mothers are not allowed to participate. Due to the nature of this activity, those with mobility difficulties are unable to participate, as well.
