Thank you Connor and Captain Barry for a memorable morning.  We're a group of 5 total amateurs and had a blast.  We tried a couple different techniques aimed at snapper, had to make a getaway from some weather (the onboard weather radar was a big deal here), spent some time further offshore trawling for tuna, and finally went back for some more snapper before heading in.  This is all in about 4 hours.  They even took the time to show us how their fish-finder worked so we could read the screen.  We ended up catching at least 6 species, keepers for 4 of them, meat to feed a party of 14 for 2 nights, and that's not including the throw-backs.  Lots of kodak moments.  Highly recommend, and I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Highly recommend! My wife and I had a Phenomenal 8 hour catch and release trip; landing AJs and Behemoth Red Snapper. We even had Bonita, triggerfish, and Black snapper to bring home. The 31ft Cape Horn is a smooth riding vessel, and was equipped with highest quality tackle to handle any type of fish! Capt Barry was very knowledgeable of the waters and where the fish were. Want to thank Captain Jason and Deckhand Blane for an excellent fishing trip.  We caught our limit of Red Snapper (2 per fisherman).  Was a little shocked to find out that Red Snapper was our primary and only true target. this was mentioned up front.  But if that is what the captain believes he can deliver on, we went for it and succeeded.   Nice boat with a very comfortable interior.   Would charter again.  Thanks!

Guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Hooked a small shark but did not get him into the boat. Hooked several red fish and a few other large fish but I was not successful in bring them into the boat.  Make sure if you for sharks. You have the stamina to get them in. I will be back for my shark. Smiles! Recommend going for multiple kinds of fish instead of targeted species.  Which he is completely open too doing. He is very accommodating and will change the plans to whatever the passengers on the boat want to do.

Fishing trip

Best fishing trip ever.
We were punctually greeted by Captain Robert upon arrival to the marina, and he promptly helped us onto his clean, comfortable and well equipped boat.
We were given a brief and informative safety orientation, and were seated in a comfortable loveseat right in front of the console.
Captain Robert then proceeded to exit the marina and safely took us out a few miles to the first of half a dozen or so fishing spots..
We were able to catch our limit of red snapper in just 30 minutes or so!
We then went to the other spots and were usually catching and releasing most of the fish but were catching them nonstop most of the time. Captain Robert was close by to unhook and release our fish and rebait our hooks as needed, all the while explaining the types of fish and whether or not we could keep them.
We definitely got our fill of fishing for the day and learned a lot from Captain Robert, plus when we got back to the marina, he fillet’s our fish and ziplock bagged them for us!
You couldn’t ask for a better time than we had, and we’ll definitely look you guys up for our next fishing adventure..
