Two or three people can fly at once, as long as the total weight of your group is within the weight limit.

2. Are there any restrictions to be aware of?

Yes, and this will vary depending on the tour company. Please be sure to go over the restrictions before booking, as it will have important information regarding your excursion. In most cases, there will be a minimum weight limit of 90 pounds, and a maximum of 450 pounds per flight. Typically, children ages 6-17 can parasail if they are accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, children 5 and under cannot participate in this activity.

3. Can we parasail in the Gulf of Mexico?

Most tour companies will fly you over the beautiful emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico, as long as conditions are suitable. If there is bad weather, strong currents, high winds, etc., then you will fly over the calm, beautiful waters of Choctawhatchee Bay!

4. Is parasailing safe?

Parasailing is extremely safe, and actually very serene and peaceful! While the initial excitement of flying towards the sky can definitely get the adrenaline pumping, once you’re coasting through the clouds, however, it’s a calming and amazing experience.

5. Where do parasailing excursions depart from?

Miramar Beach-Sandestin is the perfect place to set off on a picturesque parasailing adventure! Some parasailing trips will depart from Miramar Beach, while others will depart from the Destin Harbor. Please be aware if you choose to depart from the Destin Harbor, it is about 10 miles away from Miramar Beach, depending on your location. Traffic can be very heavy during peak season, so please allow yourself enough travel time to get there safely!
