2. Can we use our jet skis in the Gulf of Mexico?

This simply depends on the vendor that you choose. Some vendors will offer rentals in the Gulf of Mexico, while others offer rentals to zip through the calm waters of the bay. Please be sure to review the restrictions before booking. Weather, tides, currents, and waves play a huge factor, as well. If weather in the Gulf is unfavorable, and jet skis cannot make it out into the Gulf of Mexico, then the rentals will take place in the bay. This is to protect both you and the equipment.

If you need to take the test, you are urged to arrive 45 minutes to an hour in advance.
