Scenic Highway 30A runs through some of the more elegant and diverse beach communities on the Emerald Coast known collectively as "30A." The land through which Scenic Highway 30A intersects has been home to settlers since the early 20th century. Geography

Santa Rosa Beach lies north of Route 98 on the shores of Hogtown Bayou. Highway 30A runs through this beach town. It's 6 hours away from Tampa, 5.5 hours away from Orlando, and 4.5 hours away from Jacksonville.

Dune Allen Beach is a nature lover's paradise. This neighborhood is comprised of coastal dune lakes, sprawling beaches, and miles of trails. It’s in close proximity to parks and delicious dining options; it’s also right next to a variety of shopping centers, allowing tourists and locals to get their retail fix.
Blue Mountain Beach is a laid-back beach community with a variety of nature trails and close-by ice cream shops, restaurants, and more. It’s a great beach escape with fewer crowds.
Gulf Shore Manor is convenient, central, and close to Watercolor, Seaside, and other nearby beaches. You can easily ride a bike to many of the area's attractions.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is a 1,640-acre park filled with lakes and wetlands. The coastal dune lakes are great for fishing, and it's also a great place to hike, bird watch, swim, sunbathe, bike on trails through pine forests and explore the area's natural history.

Point Washington State Forest

Point Washington State Forest is made up of a variety of ecosystems, including wet flatwoods, basin swamps, and cypress swamps. The forest offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation and is a popular spot for off-road bicycling, hiking, and camping.

Grayton Beach State Park

Grayton Beach State Park covers 2,000 acres and is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole country. Visitors can spend time fishing, swimming, or paddleboarding. Pavilions, nature trails, and campgrounds are also available.

Climate

Santa Rosa Beach has long, warm summers and short, cold winters. The best time to visit is April and May. The sun is bright and you will experience comfortable temperatures with highs in the mid-70s and 80s.
