Salvador Dalí Museum Visitors Guide

The Dali museum is located in St. Petersburg and was opened in 1982 as the unofficial heart of fine arts. The new building, designed by architect Yann Weymouth, opened in January 2011 and features hurricane-proof walls and a helical staircase. One of the most intriguing architectural elements is the Glass Enigma. It's made up of more than 1,000 glass triangles that you can see from the outside. The museum was created to honor the style, talent, and imagination of Salvador Dali. It is one of the only museums in the world that is dedicated to a single artist.

The Dali Museum houses over 2,000 pieces of unparalleled artwork created by Salvador Dali including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photographs from his entire career as an artist. See eight Dalí masterworks in the Museum’s permanent collection using AR technology to gain a new perspective on their complex imagery. Explore the Dalí Museum Avant-garden which is inspired by both local flora and Dalí’s fascination with duality, art, and nature.
