Siesta Key Beach Visitors Guide
Rated as one of the top beaches in America, most travelers start their vacation navigating through the quartz crystal sand that’s as white and soft as powdered sugar. Siesta Key has been known as a place of relaxation and refuge for many years. Siesta Key Beach is home to several private beaches that are open to the public. These beaches include Crescent Beach, Turtle Beach, and Lido Key Beach. The best known are Crescent Beach and Turtle Beach because they're more accessible than Lido Key Beach.
Crescent Beach offers many amenities: lifeguards, showers, restrooms, and picnic tables. It's also one of the few beaches on Siesta Key that allows pets on leashes (all other beaches don't allow pets). This beach is perfect for families with small children because it has calm waters and a gentle slope into the water compared to other parts of Siesta Key where there may be stronger currents due to storm runoff or high tides.
The island's white-sand beaches are the main attraction for visitors, but there are also plenty of other attractions. Siesta Key is home to a number of luxury resorts, hotels, and vacation rentals that provide all the amenities you need for your beach getaway. Visitors can enjoy shopping at boutique shops, dining at fine restaurants, taking advantage of world-class golf courses, and other recreational activities.
There are also many attractions nearby that will make your stay more enjoyable. Siesta Key Beach is only minutes away from historic Sarasota and its many attractions, including the Ringling Museum Complex, St. Armands Circle Shopping District, and more!
