Parking: There is metered parking as well as a parking garage.
Departure Details: This activity departs from under the John’s Pass boardwalk at 140 Boardwalk Place W., Madeira Beach FL 33708. Guests must check-in at the Pirate Ship gift shop to receive a boarding pass at least 30 minutes prior to cruise time. The gift shop is located under the boardwalk, along the waterfront. Look for the providers signs and flags by the street. For any issues, please contact the provider, Sunshine scenic tours, at 727-423-7824.
Gratuities: Although not required, it is customary to tip your tour guide 20%.

It was a good cruise n we saw some dolphins towards end of our trip.

A great little boat ride.   Not too long. Not too short.   The dolphins were all around us. It was very cool and the staff was very nice!

Sunset cruise was perfect. Captain James and Tracy were knowledgeable, kind, happy to be working. They were happy that everyone had a great time. 
The boat had the the perfect number of people. Not over crowded. We all were able to get great pictures and saw many dolphins. Best boat around! The ticket price was well worth it.

Sunset Dolphin Quest

We saw some dolphins in the residential inlets pretty soon after leaving but, once we left that area, I kind of felt like we were just out for a ride. We left and went all the way up to Madeira. We did see some dolphins there around/under the bridge but can’t stop in that area so we just headed in. This was not our first time on the boat so our previous experience seemed to be a lot more “looking for dolphins” than just simply riding. But the attendants were great and it was a beautiful day to be out on the water, no matter what you were doing. We definitely still enjoyed ourself, just not as much of what we “came for”. Some of the kids were complaining they were bored because we were just riding and nothing to see lol. So that’s all. It’s honestly not a “negative”, just maybe some helpful feedback.

Hi, unfortunately we can't control the dolphins or when they'll make an appearance... we do try our best to find them, though! Please come back again and we'll give it another shot. They usually do love showing up for us!

We went 3 years ago in June, this year we were there in April. Last time we had 5 runs with a lot of dolphins following the boat. This year we only had 1 run with dolphins following, at least the grandkids saw a lot of dolphins right at the boat on the 1 run. Can’t blame the boat captain, it’s just they are not that active. It was a good trip anyways

We had a great trip to Shell Key with Robin and Braelynn. They were very knowledgeable and made it fun. They gave my kids each a shark tooth which was really memorable for them.

Smooth ride in

The Hubbard team were very thoughtful and helpful. The trip on the boat was relaxing. Shell Island has a small sand beach surrounding it which is not crowded at all. The water is crystal clear and a nice warm/cool temperature. We found some nice shells but you will need to swim at least 6 feet out and snorkle dive to reach them. Truly enjoyed the entire trip. Highly recommend. :)

We were lucky to see a lot of dolphins up close to the boat, both in the bay and the ocean. The weather was nice and the captain found good wind to fill the sails. The first mate was very cool too! Overall a great trip, dolphins, sailing, and a beautiful sunset.

Nice evening

We had a very relaxing, nice time on the cruise. The captain and his mate were awesome . However, next time I will book in the winter months due to the evening rains. Unfortunately there was no wind at all and the sunset kind of sucked that evening! All out of the crew's control, of course! I'll definitely go again!

Sunset cruise

The sunset cruise was nothing less that extraordinary!  It was fun watching the captains control the sails and work as a team. They were attentive, without being over-the-top. They interacted with the guests, took pictures and answered questions. But they also gave the guests time to have their own intimate experience. There was ample time to watch the sunset and the cruise back to the marina was almost as spectacular as the ride to the gulf. The sun had set, the colors in the sky were amazing, and sailing by million dollar mansions was the cherry on top. I one-hundred percent recommend this experience.

I can’t reach it my family of six decided to book a sunset cruise for the first time in our 20 years of going to Redington Beach. We met our captain, Roger at the marina. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! It was great learning about the area And learning about the different wildlife. It was also great to see the magnificent homes and hear stories about how the area had developed through the years. We went on a perfect night where there were no clouds, and there was no wind. The sunset was incredible and we even saw the green flash :-) it’s a trip to remember for my parents and my family! We will definitely be booking another with Captain Roger in the future !
