How did you discover this activity?

We completed a Google search for jet ski activities for the island of Key West. After researching, we thought that TripShock had some of the best pricing, launch locations, and time availability.

We were looking for late afternoon or evening and were able to book a 5:30 pm tour with them.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the night before our reserved time, which was during Spring Break too!

Why did you choose this activity?

We were definitely interested in a jet ski activity and this gave us jet skis, a tour, and a reasonable amount of time on the jet skis (90 minutes) for a great price.

How did you get to the activity location?

We had a rental car and drove to the Parrot Key hotel. The hotel has excellent valet service for $5 or, though not recommended, you could park in the parking lot of Home Depot next to the hotel.

The hotel has a water activities kiosk on site and that is where you would check in for your tour. It was a beautiful place!

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The tour manager at the check-in kiosk is super friendly and knowledgeable and will answer any questions. They will also store your belongings in their office while you ride.

The tour operators are experienced jet ski drivers and will assist with any of your needs. You can travel as fast or as cautious as you would like because there will always be one tour guide at the front and back of the group.

Don’t worry about getting left behind, falling off your jet ski, or getting confused about other watercraft traffic. The guys will watch out for you and direct you if need be.

Fun and safety are both number one! And if you like to go fast, don’t worry! You can speed ahead with the fast group at the head of the tour.

The speeds range from about 50-70 mph. The tour stops and regroups often to point out highlights and to let everyone catch up and hang out for a minute.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

There’s nothing like zipping along on the beautiful waters of Key West! I brought my cell phone and was able to take lots of great pictures.

At the group stops feel free to jump in the water and swim for a second if you feel like it. It was a pretty refreshing experience.

The further out you go, the water will tend to get a bit rougher, so just keep that in mind. Lots of bouncing up and down on the jet skis at that point.

At the end of the tour, the guides let you have a little fun and will have you follow them doing a bit of fun turns around the water.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would definitely recommend it for teens. My teens loved it! Adults will definitely have a blast.
