How did you discover this activity?

In searching Google for other fun activities besides just eating in New Orleans, I came upon this class offered through the New Orleans Cooking School.

TripShock came into play a little while later when we decided to book the class, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was a little cheaper as well!

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the class about 2.5 months in advance of the class.

Why did you choose this activity?

My husband and I are both foodies, which is why we were going to New Orleans in the first place.

How did you get to the activity location?

We walked to the class from our lodging in the Lower Garden District, but could easily have taken the streetcar as well.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Anne was fabulous!! We loved every minute of her presentation. It was just like learning to cook in your own kitchen from your grandmother. You feel a part of her family.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

This was a wonderful class that will stick with us a long time. We have taken other cooking classes that are more linearly structured with step one, two....and so on. This was not like those classes!

Anne is very engaging and interactive, and the cooking class starts with a history lesson! Her enthusiasm for food and family hints and additions to the meals added a nice touch that makes the class.

We can’t wait to try some of the recipes at home and introduce our family to the dishes.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

We would absolutely recommend this activity! We had a blast and learned a thing or two at the same time!!
