How did you discover this activity?

We specifically wanted to go deep sea fishing on our vacation. We called several places on our hotel’s brochure, but everyone was booked or not doing split trips.

We Google searched fun things to do in Panama City and found TripShock. Kaleigh live chatted with me and we found a charter doing split trips in Destin.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the day before we went on our tour.

Why did you choose this activity?

I wanted to choose a first time excirsion for my kids and I to enjoy together. I wanted to get them away from electronics, and we were also celebrating my daughter’s 14th birthday.

How did you get to the activity location?

Getting to the harbor was a simple car ride from our hotel in Panama City.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain Jack was friendly. The staff were all awesome. Aaron ensured we heard and listened to safety instructions.

Cody was knowledgeable and named the different fish we caught, and Jimmy was so attentive to the kids fishing for the first time and teaching them how to handle the reel.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We were so excited to get out on the water, and we took so many pictures! We had our sunscreen, dramamine, and sunglasses ready! We loved standing on the bow of the boat racing toward the deep water.

Even though we were seperated a couple of times by the crashing waves, it was exhilerating being out on the water! We will always remember the Goggle-eye fish my son caught and the Trigger Fish my daughter caught.

We will remember the dolphins who swam alongside our vessel and the sunset that greeted us back to the harbor. Lastly, we will remember the folks at Tailfin who grilled our catch for us! We feasted!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Yes, I would recommend this excursion to families, couples, boys, or girls trips. It is so fun and it is a different activity one may not be used to doing. It is also very affordable.
