When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the day before we went on the tour. Our trip to New Orleans was a late-minute unexpected surprise!

Why did you choose this activity?

We love to learn about history whenever we travel. No better way to teach our children about history, than to travel and see first hand.

How did you get to the activity location?

After a day at the French Quarter, we drive 20 minutes to Destrehan Plantation.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The entire staff was awesome! Friendly faces at the gift shop check-in and our tour guide, Beverly, were outstanding !!!! Her personality and knowledge made the tour 😊

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

Many factors made this trip memorable. The weather was perfect- sunny and 65 degrees. The crowd of 1000 school children heritage day had just ended when we arrived and our tour was only our family and 3 others. Amazing personal attention to details of the group and plantation. Thankful to learn so much about the culture and time. Beneficial for our children to see how plantations operated and how families lived. We were very thankful we made this tour part of our Louisiana Spring Break trip.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

Most certainly!!!! We would visit a second time if our travels bring us back.
