How did you discover this activity?

As a local to the Emerald Coast area, I watched the Skywheel being constructed over the past year and a half, and was excited for the opportunity to ride it and see the view of the beach area. I rode the Skywheel in London and enjoyed it immensely. My hopes were high.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

After arriving at Pier Park in Panama City Beach, we were able to park easily with the vast amount of parking at Pier Park. I am always up for a good coupon, so I Googled a coupon for the Skywheel and discovered TripShock offered $2 off discount per person. I booked and we headed over immmediately. They scanned my code and handed me paper tickets, easy peasy! It was a weekday, so we we walked right on up after a quick picture.

Why did you choose this activity?

Although I was only carrying my cell phone that day, I am a camera buff and love any opprotunity to get great shots of the beautiful beaches in the panhandle of Florida. The Skywheel offers the perfect ariel view of Panama City Beach and the many activities that it has to offer.

How did you get to the activity location?

Panama City Beach is about a 35 minute drive from Freeport, so I frequently drive over in my car to Pier Park and enjoy all that they have to offer.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff at the Skywheel was pleasant and efficient.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

My aunt and I found the air conditioned seating comfortable and enjoyed the privacy of the six passenger Skywheel pod. There are about four slow rotations, which allows for plenty of pictures of the great view.

The emphasis on the view changes at the different height levels. The sky was filled with colorful parasailing, helicopters, and a beautiful blue horizon. The Gulf glistened of blue waters beyond the crystal white sand. Colorful buildings, cars, and people filled the ground below. I look forward to bringing my Nikon and a few extra lenses on the next trip to catch all the details!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

The Panama City Beach Skywheel is a great activity for adults, couples, and families. The view will be enjoyed by all, and the kids would love watching the helicopters flying by, as well as the parasailers flying near. Everyone can scope out their next meal or activity with all that is pictured below.
