The Activity we Experienced
What we chose to do
A Haunting in the French Quarter at Night
How did you discover this activity?
We found tripshock when searching google for haunted history carriage rides around the French quarter.
When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?
We booked a few hours before the tour.
Why did you choose this activity?
We chose the carriage ride because it was a nice break from walking in the heat.
How did you get to the activity location?
The pickup spot was right in front of the cathedral which was easy to find.
What was your experience with the activity’s staff?
Jennifer and her mule Cayenne did a great job showing us around a few notable spots in the quarter.
Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?
We met a little early in front of the cathedral. After we checked in we walked back down the street and grabbed a couple cocktails for the ride. We were introduced to our tour guide Jennifer and her mule Cayenne. They allowed us to pick the seat we wanted for the hour long tour.
We chose the 9 pm tour because it was a lot cooler after dark than the 100 plus degree heat index that it had been most of the weekend.
We had walked most of the quarter before and the carriage ride was a nice touch. I heard a few stories and historical facts. Our guide was pretty knowledgeable.
Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?
I would most definately recommend the French quarter Haunted History Carriage Ride Tour to anyone who was looking for something to do especially a small group or smaller family. Its much easier to keep up with everyone in your group riding along than the walking tours. The tour has a more laid back atmosphere. The family seated in front of us with three kids also seemed to enjoy it.
