We found TripShock on Google when searching for fun things to do in Destin on our anniversary trip. We found a great deal on a deep-sea fishing trip.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked about a month in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

We have not been deep-sea fishing in 15 years and as it was something we really enjoy doing as a couple as seemed like a great way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

How did you get to the activity location?

The location was convenient and only about 25 minutes from where we were staying at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure that we always had fresh bait or help to get the fish off.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We took the six-hour option and it was really overwhelming in a good way being out in the middle of the ocean. You could barely even see the city skyline we were so far out. It reminds you how small you are and also how short life really is. It’s important to have these special moments with people who are important to you where you can just unplug from every day and get outside. They have several different options based on the size and privacy of your party. Different fish are available at different times so make sure that you check with them about what you can keep. My favorite part was taking the fish back to the harbor and having it cooked right there.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

This is a great activity for couples, families, or groups of friends. We saw a lot of various different types of people on the boat with us. Everyone was so relaxed and friendly it was a great time.
