I googled group fishing charters in Destin, then went to the Olin Marler website, and then was redirected to book on TripShock.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked three days in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

I have always wanted to go deep sea fishing. This was my birthday trip, and I decided it was the perfect time to go!

How did you get to the activity location?

We were able to drive just 15 minutes from our condo in Fort Walton.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The captain didn’t speak much to the guests, but he was a bit occupied keeping us safe and on the right course!

The crew on board was fantastic! They made sure we knew what to do and kept checking in on us while fishing to make sure we were having a good time.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

The crew really made this trip stand out. From the beginning to end, they were involved with our well-being and made sure we were having a great time.

On the way back to the dock, one crew member sat and talked with us about the captain and how long he has been doing this. I love hearing things like that, because it really shows how much respect they have for him.

I also liked that the captain was paying attention to the fact that no one was catching fish in a certain spot, so he would move along to a different one. )nce we found a great spot, we stayed for a while. It seemed well worth the time and money we spent.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would absolutely offer this trip to any teenager or adult. It is difficult to maneuver the fishing pole since it is weighted, so I doubt my 10-year-old could’ve kept the pole out of the water if she went.

Also, the crew does smoke onboard. When another guest asked if he could smoke, they mentioned that he could since there aren’t any kids onboard. Due to the sea breeze, the smoke didn’t bother any of us at all.
