We found TripShock on google when we searched for crab island tours. We wanted to see crab island and watch dolphins. We looked through all the tours and decided a private tour would be best for our first time to Destin and crab island. We are a family of six. We booked Private Crab Island, Dolphin, and Snorkel Adventure Charter.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked Monday night and picked a Thursday afternoon time slot.

Why did you choose this activity?

This was our first visit to Destin. We wanted to see dolphins and visit crab island. The snorkeling was a bonus. So was seeing sharks! A private boat tour was perfect.

How did you get to the activity location?

Parking was easy. The captain called right after I booked the trip to go over some of the details. She called the day before to confirm and went over the parking. We parked across the street from the marina and she let us in the we when got there.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

Captain Elaine is awesome! She’s very friendly and had lots of patience with us first timers on boats and snorkeling. She had an ice chest on board and provided ice. She let us use her float, koozies, and discount for ice cream on crab island. She taught us how to snorkel and use her equipment. We loved her, her boat and her stories. We would definitely book a trip with her again!

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

Captain Elaine radioed other boats and found where the sharks were and we saw 6-8 dolphins too. We never snorkeled before. She gave us quick lessons and we borrowed her equipment. We found hermit crabs and some really pretty shells. She had a bag of shells as well and threw them around so we could find them. We a great time! She recommended a couple of restaurants. She told us fishing stories and how she came up with the name of her boat. She let us use her float at crab island and her discount for the ice cream
boat. She took some of us too. Captain Elaine was great and we will definitely book with her again.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

We would definitely highly recommend booking Private Crab Island, Dolphin, and Snorkel Adventure Charter. It was perfect for our family of six.
