The Activity we Experienced

What we chose to do

A Shark Tried to Steal our Fish on our Charter

How did you discover this activity?

We found this trip by searching for things to do in Destin.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked this trip one day in advance after checking the weather conditions.

Why did you choose this activity?

My son and I have been on a fishing charter before and wanted to go again. Fishing in the Gulf is simply amazing.

If you don’t have a fish on in one minute after dropping your line, reel in because they have stripped your bait.

How did you get to the activity location?

Getting to the dock was a short drive from Mirmar Beach where we were staying.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The captain was all business. He made sure we were on fish at all times.

The deck hands were great. They didnt throw my son overboard when he got massively tangled with other lines. It was no problem and had everyone fishing again in a couple minutes.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We saw too many dolphins to count. We also had a shark about five to six feet long try to steal the fish I was bringing in. I actually had two fish on at the same time when that happened. He bit up one of my fish before letting go of it.

My 11-year-old caught fish all during the trip. We never stopped fishing the entire time. Everyone around us was happy to be out and a good time was had by all. They even cleaned our fish when we returned.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would highly recommend going. The day we went the water was pretty smooth, and the sun wasnt too hot. It couldn’t have been any better.
