I found the fishing charter company through Destin HarborWalk Village, and they use TripShock for their bookings.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked the same day.

Why did you choose this activity?

We took a dolphin cruise out of Destin a couple of years ago, and saw all of the fishing boats bringing in their catches, and have wanted to go ever since.

How did you get to the activity location?

We drove from the condo we were staying at in Fort Walton Beach to Destin HarborWalk Village.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff was knowledgeable and explained all of the rules clearly. They worked very hard to lend everyone a hand with getting their fish off the hooks or fixing their lines.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

We caught 14 fish between the two of us. We were able to keep the one big amberjack and 10 mingo snappers. We also caught a triggerfish and 2 red snappers, but had to throw them back because they weren’t in season.

We also saw dolphins, sharks, and jellyfish. Some other people caught white snappers and bonitas. One highlight of the trip that I didn’t necessarily plan for was the sunset coming back from the trip. That was an awesome bonus!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would recommend this trip for beginners or large parties. If you are looking for the experience, this is a good choice.
