We found TripShock after searching for Sunset Dolphin Cruises in Destin.

When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

I booked our cruise four days prior to the trip. February is considered off-season in Destin, and historically, doesn’t require as much advance booking as the spring/summer months. If anything, the concern was that it would be under-booked, thus cancelling the activity.

Why did you choose this activity?

We have done multiple dolphin cruises. It’s a nice way to get out on the water, tour the area, watch the beautiful Gulf sunset, and hopefully get to see dolphins!

How did you get to the activity location?

Getting to the harbor was just a quick car ride from our beach condo.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The captain and his staff were very friendly and informative. They were dedicated to making sure we saw dolphins on our cruise!

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

When we were unable to locate dolphins during our allotted cruise time, the captain told us he was going to extend the duration to search for the dolphins. When we still were unable to locate them, they offered everyone on board a chance to re-board for free on the next cruise.

We love HarborWalk Village, and really enjoyed being able to walk around before and after the cruise. We ate a really nice dinner at Margaritaville while waiting to board. I was allowed to purchase a margarita on the boardwalk, and bring it on the boat.

I was also very pleased, because our sunset cruise did not have enough passengers to go, and instead of just refunding and cancelling, they gave me the opportunity to switch our reservation to an earlier cruise. This was ideal, because it was the last day of our trip, and we wouldn’t have gotten to experience the Gulf on the water had it just been cancelled.

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I recommend this cruise to every person who asks what our favorite things to do in Destin are. In fact, it’s the first thing I recommend. Especially the sunset cruise!

We booked one for our entire wedding party when we got married in Destin last year. And, we booked one for my daughter’s high school graduation trip the year before.
