The Activity we Experienced
What we chose to do
Humbled on our Ghost Tour
How did you discover this activity?
The hotel we were staying in had a ton of pamphlets, and my daughter picked up this tour pamphlet.
When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?
The day before we went on the tour.
Why did you choose this activity?
My daughter really wanted to go on this tour. She’s fascinated with ghosts and thought this would be fun.
How did you get to the activity location?
We Ubered to the tour bus.
What was your experience with the activity’s staff?
Paul was funny, knowledgeable, and very entertaining. He was great at interacting with us all.
Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?
Seeing the charity graveyard with the remaining unidentified 80 bodies from Hurricane Katrina was definitely the highlight. To be able to show our respect to those lost was most amazing and humbling.
Learning why the graves are raised and how it worked in the Catholic and Jewish religions was so interesting.
The ghost stories and the story of the axeman and Madame LaLaurie were interesting.
My daughter learned so much on the tour that interested her that she searched books of New Orleans’ history and ordered several.
Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?
Yes! Paul was so amazing and the tour was entertaining and informative. It worked well for me and my daughter because I felt safe on the tour, which was obviously important to me because I had my 13-year-old child with me.
It was nice to hope on and off the tour bus.
