When did you book your tour compared to the departure date?

We booked about a week in advance.

Why did you choose this activity?

We love pontoons. They are great when hanging out on a boat, as there is plenty of room to walk around. Also, Crab Island is a great place to visit. However, you can’t get to Crab Island unless you have transportation. We have been wanting to rent a pontoon boat, and this was a great excuse!

How did you get to the activity location?

It was a quick drive down the road from where we were staying, not even five minutes away.

What was your experience with the activity’s staff?

The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. They were very understanding of my handicapped uncle, and helped us get him up and down the stairs to the docks.

Highlights or memories you and your group will take from the trip?

When we got to Destin it felt like we were looking for something to do. There was the beach, and although we love the beach, here it seemed like there was more to do further out into the bay. We spent the first couple days traveling around getting to know the area, and by the time Wednesday rolled around, we were more than excited to get on that pontoon and see what was out there!

We saw dolphins, pretty close to the boat, too, and we were even able to see a tiger shark! Honestly, we spent 8 hours on the pontoon cruising around, and if I had one regret, it was that we didn’t rent that boat for the whole week! I think next time we will have to see if we can get a boat each day.

The crew was so nice, as my uncle is in a wheelchair, and they helped us get him to the dock. This was no easy task, as most docks are raised with only stairs to get to them. They were very polite and helped so much. Not to mention, they were the most affordable around!

I was surprised with how great this one day made my entire trip. This is the highlight of the entire week for me and my wife. We are already trying to plan a time to return!

Would you recommend this activity to another group like yours? Why or why not?

I would recommend it, as there is so much to experience on the water, and visiting Crab Island with your own boat lets you have so much freedom. The only thing to be aware of is that no docks down there at the harbor really have handicap access. We were just lucky that Gilligan’s crew helped us with our uncle!
